What did DEVEO think of MWC Barcelona 2019?

The show was a very worthwhile experience and investment for our Technology Vendor clients. The feedback from our clients indicated that the quality of meeting qualification was extremely high this year.

Many Telcos also referred to short-term projects. We already knew that 2019 was shaping up to be a massive year for Telcos with some of the first 5G projects kicking off at the end of 2018, so we were very excited to hear about the developments at MWC this year. With the advent of 5G, the market is at a very positive, exciting point. Telcos are investing heavily again and the impact of this will be felt across the whole CSP ecosystem for many years to come.

How did DEVEO contribute to our clients’ success?

DEVEO booked 800+ meetings with Communication Service Providers for 50+ Technology Vendors who wanted to meet with very specific decision makers that they didn’t already have in their database. For example: CTOs, CMOs, Head of Strategy, Innovation, Digital Services, Network, Customer Experience and many more!

Our expertise lies with finding which Telco Executive is attending MWC and making the first connection. This enables us to qualify their interest in our clients’ solutions. We then set up a face-to-face meeting during the show for our clients’ sales teams to present their solutions in more depth.

Because of the nature of the industry’s sales cycle, we don’t expect to hear of an immediate ROI. However, we do regularly hear feedback that one, two or even three years later as a result of one of our meetings a deal has been signed.
